This is a panel from the comic book .
That project and the other one have been slow to materialize over the last year as work was BUSY .
I am still just as busy with WORK work , but now my commute is just ever so slightly shorter .
I have had the good fortune to have worked with some of the best people in the industry at Sony animation over the last 2 years .
I worked on a very fun project with the best crew one could have hoped for .
It was a great experience and I want to thank each and every person who inspired me .

So . What now ?
Well......as i said I now have a shorter commute . That means I am supposed to have more time .
Now - maybe , just maybe , I might get one of these projects of mine finished .
Here's hoping .

Cheers all .

A bit messed up lately .

Well - you have probably noticed that between the gallery and the blog things have been screwy lately .
That's because someone compromised the coppermine code so I had to update before i got hacked .
Along with that the nucleus blog code had to be updated . Now that's screwy too and keeps asking for peoples emails and stuff .
Rest assured things will be back to normal in the next few days . .. .On top of that I'm building a new rig to paint on as the old one is not feeling the best .
Despite me slapping it silly a few times and complimenting it with appropriate metaphors it's having trouble coming to it's senses .
While building the new rig I found that I need more power . So a call to the electrician is in order . More amps!!!!!More watts!!!

Also work is busy . Very busy .
If you want to know what I'm working on read this

That article was written nearly three years ago . I've been on this project nearly 1.5 years and it's been a BLAST .
It's stylish , epic , and ...... tasty .
So much talent at this studio .... a great experience !

Oh - and I am getting a new roof on my house - right above the art room .
Throw in guests from outta town visiting in stages and you have the perfect formula for lunacy .
SOoooooooooo - back soon with my usual self and the usual blog.

Until then it's back to quake for the ds .

YEEEEHHHHAAAAAAAAA!

Yup - been a while since I posted . Why ? - well simply just tooooo much going on .
None of which I'm going to talk about here .

But in the mean time I can tell you this : I'm plugging away at the childrens book
and progress is being made . I really, really want to get this finished sooner rather than later .
It's an ultra simple idea and if I don't get it finished my daughter will be old enough to
realise it sucks .

This image , needless to say is NOT from the kids book .
It's from the other project . I was going for creepy and moody .

More soon . Really . I swear .

Something a little more man made for a change . The universe I have created for the story is pretty large .
This location - an outpost near a destination point .

Pretty vague , I know . Sorry . More to come .

Cheers .

ImagineFX

I got a message from home today that a sampling of my artwork appears in Imaginefx .
It's in issue 27 - there's also a mug shot for those who may be interested . I believe stateside
it should arrive in about two weeks . It's quite a good magazine with some very cool tutorials from
many people in the industry - and this issue has an interview with Dave Gibbons of "watchmen" fame .

That has to be one of my all time favourite comic books .
Classic writing by Alan Moore .
Great visual storytelling by Dave Gibbons .
Stellar color styling by John Higgins .

Anyway - here's another doodle .
Something more man made next week .

Cheers .
