Irish shores . North west .
Had to paint something tonight . More landscape stuff again. Rougher than I have been working lately and certainly a lot faster . Spent about an hour and 30 on this . Enjoyed working in a free splat bang sort of way with the colours . It's good just to attack it some times . At least it feels good .
Cheers .

Man I don't know how I feel about you moving to a new site. It's like friends moving out of the neighborhood. This piece is brilliant all the same. I really need to visit Europe someday.

I guess I'm still getting used to the new blog too, but the artwork never fails to inspire. Keep up the good work Sim-r.

Your paintings are really beautiful man. This one in particular really hit a chord though. Growing up in Virginia Beach we use to go to Cape Hatteras in North Carolina. This is the same feel as when a hurricane is about to roll through the place. Nature gets intimidating but incredibly beautiful at the same time. Great paintings, super inspiring!!

Hi Simon,
Thats some amazing work, whatever it is about the Irish sky's but they surely have somthing magic which sets them apart from the reat, much the same as your style and talent.
Have a nice day as they say, Simon and take care.
John

hi Simon, Thank you as always, its always brilliant to visit your page, you capture the Irish landscapes so well. I Don't know if you have been back recently, but over the last two months the sky's have been very dramatic and powerful. Its cold but worth wandering the country side for it. Happy Christmas and have a great new year Simon. John
